Morning Tea

Morning Tea is provided every Sunday after the 8.30am Mass. Several volunteers are rostered to assist in serving and cleaning up and it provides a wonderful opportunity for newcomers to meet other Parishioners.

If you are interested in assisting, please contact the Parish Office via Email or Telephone.

From Father Nev

16-2-20 – Parish Vision Arvo.

Hi all, thank you to everyone for your enthusiastic support and participation at last weekend’s World Marriage Day Mass and celebrations. Particular thanks to the committee: Rochelle, Ashwin, Jasline, Justin, Russ, Jan, Ben and Lolita. Those who helped bring food and serve in the kitchen and for Keith as MC. It looks like an event that will definitely be on next year’s calen-dar. On Sunday March 1st @ 2pm in the Morgan Howe Centre, we’ll be launching our Parish Vision Arvo. It’ll be an opportunity to hear what we did in 2019, I’ll be sharing the vision for 2020 and there will be an opportunity in small groups to give input and discuss what I have shared and provide feedback. All parishioners are welcome. This weekend I’m encouraging you all to think about nominating someone which can include yourself to consider serving a term on the Parish Pastoral Council. We’ll be handing out forms this weekend which will include what role the PPC plays in the Leadership of the Parish. We would like you send these back to the parish office or give them to myself. Anyone nominated we will invite along to the Parish Vision Arvo. This week we’ll be plugging the Lenten Program. Two different programs are being offered, so make sure you indicate this weekend your preference and what nights you’re available on the lecterns around the Church. We’ll need to order these this week. Also this weekend we’ll be talking MOP. Trevor requires specific donations to be packed in a container heading to Timor Leste. The supplies they require are new clothes for boys and girls (Sizes 4-12) and general school supplies. Of course cash donations can be deposited in the Well too. Thank you all for your continuous generosity in service to the parish, the wider community and Missionaries of the Poor.Blessings Fr Nev

By Dr. Peter VardyTHE REFORMATION TODAY: AN ECUMENICAL PERSPECTIVE

2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Many historians consider the Reformation one of those epoch changing events in the history of the Western world. But what does it mean for people in Australia 500 years later? Was the Reformation just a series of pointless disputes which have little relevance to the church today? Or is the church today the living legacy of the Reformation, and if so, what does this mean for us? Join us as we ask these questions together.
